Scott with a degree from Plymouth State University in Finance and Economics and Anysia Hutchens with a degree from Belmont University in Corporate Communications, Musical Performance & Italian.
They’ve compiled their experiences and skills in hospitality, home building, management, and maintenance to accomplish their dream and goal of living on St. John as property managers and musicians! They both have years of experience assisting incoming travelers and managing everything from large scale renovations to luxury housekeeping, finish carpentry and installations.
Anysia lived the first few years of her life on one of St. John’s sister islands to the south, St. Croix. At this point in the mid 1990’s her parents, with three young children, moved back to New England after almost a decade in the USVI. She was always raised with a love and spirit of the Virgin Islands that her parents carried with them, always retelling stories and fond memories of their time in the Caribbean.
After completing a year traveling in the Pacific in 2016, Scott and Anysia decided to continue their travels to St. John to experience a VI journey or their own! And what a journey it’s been! They are still grateful and happy to call St. John home with hopes to continue growing their life here and raising a family one day!

Over the last three years Scott and Anysia have created and developed the St. John Lacrosse Club, creating an after school program coaching lacrosse to youth on island. Both are also players and board members of Men’s & Women’s USVI National Lacrosse Programs.
Most often you will find them onstage performing with their band Chasing Hues across St. John and St. Thomas! Scott & Anysia aka Chasing Hues have been a musical duo for almost 10 years! They love connecting and making memories with their audiences and guests. Private sunset dinner shows are their specialty!
Enjoy some feel good music and original songs on Valhalla’s pool deck while soaking in the colorful views over Cinnamon Bay and delighting in a custom meal by one of our recommended Michelin Star Private Chefs! Truly a night to remember! With some advanced notice they can even learn your favorite song or surprise someone special by recreating a memorable wedding song or memory!

Sunny & Salomoon are Anysia & Scott’s beloved rescue cats that live with them downstairs at Valhalla. Sal the black silky who keeps to himself mostly and will eventually warm up for pets but Sunny the orange tabby is a social butterfly! He often likes to greet the guests and has been known to cuddle if wanted and loves a good selfie together! They are indoor outdoor and if you are not interested in cats no worries they will stick around downstairs and keep to their own 😊
